I am very keen on energy therapies and using the mind to heal . I often do small exercises to distant heal my mom although she is in the same room as me. I would love to teach her how to do this for herself sadly she will not humor me. Many cancers do stem from excessive stress and emotional events that happened in the past.

Thank you so much for the report. I am a nurse and came to realize the importance of the mind in healing a long time ago. i have nursed patients that have been told they have caner and they have totally been in denial. Most of them have either lived years longer than they were told by their doctor or became well again. On the other hand I remember a man who had been well and healthy but came into hospital for a sore back. After xrays and tests he was told he had cancer of the spine. His words were "Just give me three weeks to get my things in order. That's all I want" Three weeks later he had died.

Just a possibility…Make sure she doesn't have any root canals or infected teeth. In a German clinic 96 out of 100 breast cancer patients had these. The anaerobic bacteria in teeth leak down into the breast (or the heart, or other areas possibly). Cancer starts to try to attract these deadly bacteria into one place by creating a tumor*. If the source is not taken away, the cancer will not stay away. *My doctor just went to Taiwan for a conference and this information is so new that it has not been translated into English from Chinese. Their answer is to detox with some method.
Suzanne Sommers had a root canal on the side of her breast cancer. I had a frozen shoulder before my breast cancer popped up. I had an infection in a root canal tooth which was taken care of. My constant headaches went away right after the tooth was treated. I am juicing 32 ounces of green vegetables at least once or twice per day and my blood tests and urine pH are normal now. The peace and happiness that meditation provides is an important part of my recovery. You have to do this for about two years. Good luck to you and make sure she is being prayed for. There was an Italian study many years ago about women being prayed for having a higher rate of getting pregnant.
Richard Feynman, a Nobel Prize winner in Physics said that he thought all alternative methods of treating illnesses should be evaluated. Gerson Therapy, although it was a popular, alternative treatment for cancer and lost by 4 votes in Congress in the 1940s has been banned in the United States in favor of cut, burn and chemotherapy. When a political party loses in an election, it is not banned. I challenge the government to prove that Gerson Therapy, or enzyme therapy or some of these other therapies in a clinical setting, don't work.

Thanks for the interesting report. So finally your own emotional health becomes your responsibility? In how many ways can you become responsible for your emotional well being and what are the consequences, I wonder, for a marraige? I’m sure this is the way forward.

I have been in the wholistic health field as a consultant after surviving stage 3+ breastcancer and the horrific treatments by now 19 years,
I really had to chuckle when I read the Simonton report.
I could have written that report. I have seen stage 1 cancerpatients die because it seemed the only way to get Hubbies attention back. I have seen stage 4 lung cancer patients (having been told get your affairs in order within six weeks) live as long as 1-2 years longer because they had some more living to do. Of course most of my clients came after they where “given up”.
Mind is a powerfull tool, I always start there and than comes of course your Life Style etc.
Thank you for that report as a great conformation what I have been teaching for years….

Thank you Laura for posting this, I really appreciate it.
I admire the Simonton’s work and the honesty re the degree of receptivity. I remember in 1965 completing my neurophysiology and physiology/biochem studies I wanted to do a PhD in the neurophysiological relationship with health, it was manifestly physically obvious, but no supervisor or funding would look at it. I am glad people are now dealing.

To Laszio: as well as the Silva mediation work you may be doing, I suggest you consider the Letting Go approach of the Sedona Method.Google the website, download the free introduction and try the simple basic release. It works. It works for non spiritually aware people also. You also can release genetic issues.
Environment including stress/presumably emotion affects genetic material, activating and inactivating genes. This is inherited. You can do something about it. This has fairly recently been accepted in the science world. A moment of compassion for them they are terrorised by fashion and dominent cliques.
I am/was a scientist and I assure you not all run on the narrow nerdish pattern & reality is not all perceived as Newtonian by scientists.
