We’ve received 1,192 responses to our Silva Community Survey and we are very happy to share with you some of the results.

Here are some results that completely surprised us:

  • 58% of responses have told us that after listening to a home-study course or attending a Silva seminar, that their practice starts to wane.
  • 83% of responses that investing in personal development is the most powerful thing one can do for onesself.
  • 60% of responses have trouble keeping up with regular practice.
  • 64% of responses require extra guidance and support with the Silva Method but do not know who to turn to.
  • 70% of responses feel that would benefit from meeting other Silva Graduates through an online community.

We have some fatastic comments and suggestions from the survey and we’re very excited to answer as many of them as we can. Laura Silva will be looking through the results herself and we’ll be sharing her answers to you this week.

In the meantime, tell us what you think. Do these results surprise you? Was this expected? We’d love to hear what you think so leave us a comment!

I did the survey… And I’d love to get together with other silva graduates.

I am really surprised, that so many people find it difficult keeping up with regular practise. I would expect of people investing in themselves (which is what they do with Silva training), keep investing in themselves.
Unless, they are disappointed with the results…
Therefore, it would be interesting to know, how many people think Silva Method is helping them in life.
I can tell, that (although I am going through heavy weather since a longer period) the investment is more than worthwhile. After almost 2 years practising I am still using the Silva Method (successfully!). The Silva Life System CD’s boosted practising. I hesitated to buy the CD’s, as I thought ‘I knew it all’, but the Silva Life System is a well-built portfolio helping an a daily basis.

So, why don’t people practise after a longer period, is my main question?

    Keep up the good work!

One option, I would really love to have is, to get the Silva Life System in German language, as a part of my family is German and they would really benefit using the Sivla Life System

I first became a student long ago. I practiced as suggested and was able to get through an extremely trying time in my life by consulting with my mentors, who stepped off the elevator. I purchased the home study course to use as a refresher in 2004. I do not do what I should and plan to change that now that you are more involved in the wonderful Slva Method, God bless Jose!

I think these responses are what I expected. I would like a money seminar. I think lack of money is the biggest problem I personally have and a lot of the graduates share. I try to program for myself but i do better taking a seminar and being programmed by a teacher. A money seminar would be great Janet

As a graduate of the BLS, the graduate series and the Ultramind esp program, how would I benefit, if at all, by taking the Silva Life course?

  6. Robert March 10, 2008 at 2:20 pm #

I feel the results are quite realistic and reflect that many people find it hard to maintain their practice/programming, including myself.

In some cases it may only require 30mins a day to maintain practice but a little more time for personal programming but at times I find it hard to practice and find that I practice in the evenings when I feel I may got be getting the full benefit of it due to tiredness and the rigours of life.

I find now though that I make an effort to program when something is required to progress like today, I have had a stressful time lately and have suffered with pain in my upper back, shoulders and neck. My programming this morning has lowered the pain and increased mobility in my neck and continues to do so.

I definately agree with the comments from the survey but more so with the online community comment. This would help many of us with choosing the best ‘method/tool’ to deal with a problem and maintain the results achieved. Even so, if it didn’t greatly help some students/graduates, it would be interesting to be able to converse with fellow minded people and hear their stories and successes.

    Kind Regards

    Robert, UK

Wow. 58% said their practice starts to wane – but that says that for 42%, it does not.

42% sticking with it is simply amazing. It takes discipline to stick with anything; for most things, the 80/20 rule applies. So how is it that Silva practitioners stay involved at twice the rate of the general population?

Parade Magazine (the sunday newspaper supplement) this past Sunday, 3-9-08, had a story on how your thoughts can heal yourself, as in the placebo effect. Of course the converse is also true: the bone pointing of primitive tribes; I don’t think they had the bone pointing part in there.

    Hello,

I suspect that self-sabotage is the biggest problem out there… I have heard that only 5% of graduates of personal growth seminars (including NLP, Silva, etc…) actually follow through after the classes. None of the trainings ever address this issue during the trainings. Adding some sort of programming in the class itself to deal with this issue will go a long way in getting many, many more to follow through after the classes.

    Hi everyone,

I am not surprised with the results at all, considering that so many people find it hard to keep up with the Method. I find it hard myself. Learning through the book myself I went through 30 day’s program and was quite happy with the results. But! I have not really realised how important it could be if you have questions in life and want to discover who you really are and why you are here.
Every person who wants to get changes in life, have to WANT it and take actions towards it! But most people when they are moanin they want to change something don’t really want it, I mean they don’t want taking actions. They want everything happening by itself.
It’s true in my case but I know that if I really need something I am practicing the Method, but not every day because the desire of getting some positive results vanishes. Perhaps, because I’m lazy or maybe I don’t need it as much.

I am surprised by the percentage of people who do practive the Method every day and that would be great to meet some of them here. I would be very grateful to the creator of the blog if we could communicate with like minded people, because it’s quite hard to meet someone who does understand you in real life when I start talking about Sylva Method.

All the best to all guys here. Keep going with the practice!

    Kate

I had my first course in 1988, as I told you before. The Ultra Seminar was given by José Silva, himself.
The CD´s I bougt lately gave me the feeling, that I still have very great benefit of all I learned 20 years ago.
My personality became from shy, to strong. I help people, wherever I can and that makes me very happy.
Before I go to sleep, I go to my level, every night. It is a lifestyle!
Kind regards, Sonja Klein, the Netherlands

On one hand, I’d like to congratulate Silva International for taking an honest look at itself. On the other, I’d like to express my surprise at the organization’s surprise that 6 of 10 respondents do not/cannot maintain their practice after graduation, while 80% of respondents believe that personal development is highly important.

This paradox is easily explained. Perhaps 6 of 10 graduates confuse “personal development” with being “personally developed. In other words, I would not be at all surprised that 60% of Siva graduates never come to terms with the fact that desire, belief, and expectation require life-long individual commitment. There will be no institution holding their hand after graduation.

How does Silva International address this problem without becoming an institution resemblling a Church? Perhaps there is no problem. Fortunately 4 of 10 may not be that bad! Don’t American major league baseball players command million dollar salaries by being able to get 3 hits for every 10 at-bats? And, don’t those same players continue to hone there skills each and every day after having attained major league status. It all comes down to individual commitment.

    Kindest Regards,
    Chance

    hi,
I am a silva graduate, I read so many books and newsleters, I feel like I am saturated of knowlege in this matter but il look like is working for the worst part, I mean, that in my life I found that everything I did is wrong, when I have to choose something I always do the negative part, it is squirry because whatever I decide is definitely wrong, it is wrong not because I beleave it but the time show me. it look like I am so afraid to success that I prefer to go the wrong way; I have to admit that this sistem is exelent and I wouth really like to do something extraordinary in my life, if somebody can help or give me a guidance I will appreciate.

    Hi,

I’ve done the Beginners’ seminar as well as Ultra seminar sometime in 1998 and 1999. After a few years of practicing, I think that I mastered it well enough. But I always feel that a joint meditation is far greater than a single one. In Dhaka, where I graduated, I knew other graduates and we regularly used to meditate together once a week. But, after I migrated to Australia, I now feel that I’m all by myself. If I can find a group of graduates here in Melbourne, I think it would have been great.

    Regards,
    Maruf

Having one or a group of buddys – live or online – can help regular practicing a lot.

  20. Oscar March 10, 2008 at 10:27 pm #

It’s amazing to see that around 60% percent of people have trouble keeping the practice, or would like to get support with their practice. After more than ten years practicing the Silva Method I found that if I think that I have to “separate” some time for “practicing”, then it becomes like any other activity that we have to “fit in” our busy schedule.
It really helps if we program to make the Silva Method a part of our lives, but Jose Silva put it very simple: to practice just before getting up, and just before going to sleep. In this way we don’t have to “fit” the practice in the middle of our busy day.
All in all, installing a new habit (i.e, meditating or working out) goes through several phases. The Trans-Theoretical model (developed for Public Health Behavior) shows that when adopting a new habit or a new activity, we undergo several stages, like being 1.Unaware, 2.Engaged, 3.Deciding about acting, 4.Decided not to act, 5.Decided to act, 6.Acting, 7.Maintenance.
After learning and practicing Silva techniques for a while, we find ourselves in the Maintenance stage, and we need to keep reminding ourselves of the benefits of programming and designing our lives everyday for our benefit, the benefit of our loved ones, and ultimately the benefit of humanity.
If you find yourself practicing less and less, somehow you are back into stage 4, and just need to decide to resume programming just before going to sleep. Program then to practice again before getting up. It’s that simple.
Finally, we are practicing the Silva Principles all day long, whether we want it or not. So let us go back as soon as possible and review the chapter about Mental Housecleaning in our manuals. Let’s cancel the negative behavior (not taking action) and replace it with a desired behavior (more Silva practicing). It’s easy. Just visualize yourself practicing.
In my particular experience, I just think of the good things that the Silva Method has brought to my life, from being more calm, to quit smoking, to fight cancer. As a way to express my gratitude for being better and better, I consciously practice every night.

Hello Laura. After having presented The Silva Method for 17 years in Denmark (and been away for more than 4 years now), I can say that I miss the great tranformations I’ve seen in the graduates for so many years…

Off course, I still go to My Level everyday, as I’ve been doing since 1985. Laura, I think we’ve had som great conversations both in Denmark and in Laredo. You’ll always have a special place in my heart. Thanks…

    Yours sincerely
    Pete :-)

I took the BLS about 20 years ago, have take several classes with Burt Goldman, Hans DeJong, and even Jose Silva himself (the Ultra healing class). I found that after attending a class, my practice habits were very good for a while, but eventually day-to-day life creeps in and the tyranny of the urgent starts up again. In the old days, Silva grads could repeat the BLS for no charge, and this was a good way to review and to get your Alpha habits going again. Perhaps an online community, or also as in the old days, Silva Grad Cottage Groups. Thanks.

  23. Vivencio D. Flores March 10, 2008 at 11:48 pm #

Yes, the results are as what I expected. I myself had trouble keeping up with the practice and I believe group sharing in an online community would be a big help.

  24. David Walsh March 11, 2008 at 12:11 am #

I am not surprised by the results. As I wrote in my comments: for many of us the initial enthusiasm for such courses as the Silva Method, is mental and emotional and thus mind-based and egoic. This kind of mind-based enthusiasm may falter if it is not supported by an active community, because it is not founded on a real awakening of our prior conscious self. In the absence of such a real awakening, the weight of the past, in us and around us in our circumstances and relations, may tend to pull us back into our habitual patterns. When this happens we can become despondent, and feel its not working for us and give up.

  25. Steve Jackshaw March 11, 2008 at 1:29 am #

I am a little surprised with #1. To invest in yourself and then fade away……? I quit smoking cold turkey before I got involved with Silva. If I got weak or changed my daily efforts, I would still be smoking. I wish my results were progressing better with leveling and getting deeper and my visualizations so I am at it everyday. Sometimes only once a day for a short time , but I am still at it. An online community for discussions and improving would be great.
    Best wishes to all!

  26. Jerry Waxman March 11, 2008 at 1:35 am #

I can identify with Soledad and some of the others who have struggled. I also have found it hard to keep up with the exercises. It’s a time management issue. I’m spending about 18 hours a day trying to make money just to make ends meet. Much time reading on personal development, but no time to actually relax and meditate. The result is a lot of decisions that get me nowhere.

I think that it would be good to have coaching from graduates who are succeeding. I think also that we who are not succeeding can help each other.

I am going to set up a forum. My websites are all about achievement and getting ahead and life enhancement. So after I revise them, I am going to set up a forum, and I hope that some Silva graduates, as well as graduates of similar systems, will join, and offer advice. Together we can all upgrade ourselves, I think, more effectively than trying to do it alone.

Thank you, Laura, for the survey, and for this blog.

Seems like another life time ago when a friend paid for me to attend the original course back in the 70′s. Another lifetime and I’m trying to get back. Time for myself has been out of the question for some time. The question now is why not? Investing in ones self is important. Guess I better make some time. How about you????

  28. Johnie C. Stegall March 11, 2008 at 3:59 am #

    Thanks Laura!
I am a recent purchaser of the Silva Life Method home study course.
I first read about the Silva Method in the 70s, shortly after my time in the Navy. I was not ready for it then but read many books on personal developement. In looking back I can say that when you arecommitted to an action/goal the means to atain it and the tools needed to prepare you for it come into your life. You may not recognize them when first presented but they keep coming back until you accept them. Your core desire is what the bumps along the way are guiding you to. It becomes easier when you know what your REAL intentions are on a consious level and can decde if an action is in line with your core self or not.
My practice, I do every night before sleep weekdays and weekend and on weekend several times a day, usually more than three. I am new to Silva so haven’t gotten to the self-sabotage stage others have mentioned yet. I am programing to bypass that and continue to improve.
Hope you great success in all things!
    Johnie

I’ve only begun to practice…I did recieve the mind centering excerise several months ago. And, I can honestly say that it helped me through a gruelling divorce. Even my lawyer commented on how calm I was during the whole thing. I was able to let go of his negative comments in a snap. I also feel, it is helping me get through and push past my fibromyalgia.

I believe that this method is helping me to be present in the moment…which is crucial to being alive and enjoying life. For those of you who have time read Ekhart Tolle’s book, “Awakening to your Life’s Purpose”. Oprah is having a 10 week online class with Ekhart…it has been uplifting as is Silva meditations. Thanks again.

May, I suggest something like Oprah is doing…such an online class with repondents who can call in or email questions.

  32. Wilhelm March 11, 2008 at 5:23 am #

    Hello.

I bought your book “The Silva Mind Control MEthod” a decade ago, as part of my research on developing ESP for my college term paper. IN fact,
I was able to reach a point wherein my spirit guide was asking me whether I was willing to go further in my dvelopment and brought in front of two cave entrances, each was guarded by a person wearing different colored robes – white and black. Each asked me the same question – Am I ready?

I answered no, because I knew if I had taken the next step, things would be extremely different from what it is now. You see, what my spirit guide had asked me to do was to choose which side I would take – heaven or hell. And that by going through either passage, I would be taking my next step into becoming what he said was an agent of either heaven or hell.

Now before this, several weeks in fact after I had finished my term paper and continued training, I have had several spiritual visits to my house – a lot of which had been asking me to join them. SOme had threatened to take over my body, and on many occassions, angels had also come to assist me.

This was all frightening for me for the following reasons – I found out that my spirit guide was an agent of hell himself; second, I found myself seeing things even when wide awake; third, i was not sleeping anymore (I knew my body was resting but I was not blanking out – I was still mentally aware that I was awake.)

To prove to you that I am not bluffing – during one my sessions with my spirit guide, he brought me to a place wherein from a distance, i could see a tall pillar reaching from the earth to the heavens. I asked him what it was, and he said that it was all the souls from hell who were trying to reach heaven. True enough, when I moved closer, it was a huge column about several hundred feet in girth, and the individual “rocks” were actually human faces in different contorted forms.

ON another session, I was brought to a place where there was this big empty book floating in the nothingess, and there was a glow from that book. According to him, each individual has this, a sort of personal book of life, where everything and everything that we though was recorded and stored.

Also, I had become more suseptible to visions – on many occassions I have blurted out to my classmates and friends about visiting places that we have never been to, and my description of these places fits exactly when we do go and vsit them (or if we went to a place, I would describe to them locations of different things such as rooms, toilets, diningareas, etc)

I would really wish someone could help me. I know I have some abilities, and I would really like to be able to make use of them.

    Wilhelm

    Hi Laura,
We met years ago when I took the Ultimate Seminar with your Dad in Laredo; you got me in the class and I gave you the beautiful stained glass windows for your house. Your dad said any class I wanted to take with Silva that it was free after that seminar; I wanted to take a class recently in Miami, which is where I live now, and the people said I could only take the beginner class for free and any other class I would have to pay for. What happened? Once your dad died, his organization doesn’t follow his promises. Make me feel better….please. I have fond memories of you and your dad and all the beautiful people I met through Silva; now it seems the people don’t have any heart. Hope all is well with you…

    Hello Laura,

Until now I use the free-downloadable tape of the meditation (SilvaUltraMindCenteringExer.mp3) and it is amazing. I meditate every one or two days. As for my personal growth it works in combination with a change I resently made. This change I made (being 49 now!) was in november 2007. I changed from a guy that always (unconcious) wanted to be found by other people “a nice/kind guy” into a person that can say from the hart “I am a nice/kind guy”. My center is now “a fine guy”. Sometimes I’m angry, not nice, rude, mean etc. etc but still “a fine guy”.
Now I can find my own way and do the things I want.

All this in combination with the results from listening to the Silva-mp3.

Many times I wake up ( in the morning or at the count of 5 at the end of the tape) with some vision/insight. This works very good for me.
And I started using my intuition again.
I feel whera people are or what they probably are thinking.

Since 1985 I started having problems with “manic-depression” or so called “bipolar something” (I’m Dutch). Until now I didn’t spaek about it, concerning jobs/work.
Now I’m getting out in the open.

What I wanted to say is:
Silva helps me to choose what things to do, by following my intuition.

    Thank you Laura
and please thank your father Jose for me.

To become a world community my text in Dutch.(free translation)
    Nu in het Nederlands:

    Hallo Laura,

Since 1985 heb ik last van manische depressiviteit (bipolaire stoornis).

    who is in heaven.

PS Trancedente meditatie, Spiegelogie en The Secret dragen ook bij aan nieuwe inzichten. Alsook het hebben (zie ) van een “Manische depressie”.

I really hope this gets to you for me to take some serious action. I live in Abuja Nigeria, and a friend sent me the link and I got the free session from the link (the 3, 2, & 1) programme.
I have been trying to buy one home study but have trouble with the foreign exchange and all that. Right now I have some relatives vacationing in New York and they will be able to get it for me. Please can you tell me what to do. How to pay, and if the the home study tapes could be sent to them. They will bring it to me. Am sure there is somewhere around New york city with a phone number.
    Thanks I hope this works.

Speaking as a UK citizen Silva has to open itself up to the rest of the world. There is life outside the USA, in fact the majority of the world is outside the USA and there is such a need for this that this should not be ignored.

I believe that the statistic “58% of responses have told us that after listening to a home-study course or attending a Silva seminar, that their practice starts to wane” happens because people need to take more knowledge from other sources to normalize and refresh the knowledge of the silva seminars. This knowledge will keep the people on track. For me the knowledge of American Monc (Βurt Goldman) and his mind boxes is very helpluf.

    hello,
I ordered the Silva Program on CD overseas. I listened to it continuously. I had had several experiences with visions, dreams, feeling and seeing things thru objects so I was into the program 100%. When I returned to the U.S. I attended a seminar. When I walked in my intention was to become an instructor. When I walked out…I felt nothing. I felt that when the instructor said “erase, erase. erase” about negative thots…all my experiences had…been erased. In class we did the experiments but we never shared our experiences. The instructor used alot of metaphors to teach but when I left, all I remembered was his life. I had been desensitized. The abilities I had experienced before I could no longer access.
It could be that my abilities had been enhanced because Being in a foreign country I was not bombarded by my own language and because I had been working with people trained in remote viewing I was affected.
To this day my previous abilities are merely a memory.
I wanted to try the course with someone else, but …never did. I live in Hawaii and it just isnt easy (affordable) to bounce off the island. Where did my manifestation incentive go?

    Laura,

I took the Silva Method course from you many years ago. You were co-teaching with Nelda Sheets. My practice has waned, but I know the benefits of the program and my intention is to practice practice practice. I have the Ultra Seminar.

I’m glad to see that you are here and continuing your Father’s work.

Dear All, I have been practising the audios from the Silva Life System for a couple months now. Though I miss the sessions sometimes due to the ups and downs of life, I tend to return back to the habit with commitment to myself prompted by a need.
As for those who experience a waning of their practice, it may be more a feeling than real as I can not imagine some one who learnt how to meditate could forget the practice, just you don’t forget swimming or cycling once you learnt it. It seems to me more an example of the Law of Dimishing Returns. The nearer you get to where you want to go, the less anxious you seem to get there.

I read most of the interactive discussions I receive in my email that are highly informative and provide a good support from the experienced graduates.

The new letter is a good resource too.

With best regards to ALL, the Silva Team and Laura

I am very suprised at the results from the survey. The home study has helped me tremendously throughout my everyday life and relationships. I would love to learn more from people that has attended your seminars.

    INTUITION

Intuition is what were looking for.
    Science is what we find.
    Intuition deep within is found.
    Science is there all around.

    Intuition uses a sixth sense.
    Science uses all five.
    Intuition thinks for oneself.
    Science reasons why.

    Intuition has no real bad.
    Science searches for the good.
    Intuition drives desire.
    Science builds it higher.

Intuition is the science of desire.
Science searches for a higher desire.
Intuition is breathing the freedom like air.
Science says how much is fair.

    Intuition should be listened to.
    Science negates this thought.
    Intuition is the science.
    Science which should be taught.

There is no problem in the usage of a technique starts to vane a few month after having taken the course. Motivation is just like bathing! One time is never enough. You have to do it every day…

I started to use the Silva Method in the early 90′s after reading the book in my native language, then in english, (when I came to the US). Late 90′s I bought the CD’s and used them frequently. Last year I took my Husband and we went to a seminar held by Sam Gonzalez Silva. It was the greatest thing we did. Eventhough the CD’s are fantastic, the hands on and being with others was the most beneficial to me. Now I combine the alpha state and EFT and amazing healing is being accomplished.

Many say that they are not able to keep up with the practise of it; I didn’t either till I realized, I was the one holding me back. Sometimes our subconsious and limiting beliefs hold us back on things we want or want to do. When you really want something, but there is a resistance, or a self-sabotage going on, ask yourself why. Have dialouge with youreself in alpha state and answers will come, either in your mind, book, movie or others. It’s when an awerness of yourself and your world is discovered, you can begin a “healing” process.

It’s amazing how many layers we have of negative and old beliefs, that we have taken as our own from our peers (family, friends, teachers etc.).
Would love to be able to connect with others in my area and meet on a regular basis to share and support in becoming the best we can be.
Wish You all the best. = )

    Wilhelm,

I was very interested in what you said about your spirit guide. I have been studying esp and psychic awareness and know people that have guides. One of them is buddhist. I am wondering what your religious background is. I have been told that there are angels, but I’ve never heard of something like you have described. My friend says that the guides give you symbols that you can understand. Try to reach someone that is a medium or psychic that can help you.

I received the course and will pursue it as soon as I can. Just about the time I received it, my wife was diagnosed with cancer, and that took top priority. She now is nearly finished with chemotherapy, and the situation appears pr omising though one is never sure with cancerl But belief helps, and we are believers. Will use the course to help in those beliefs, as time permits. As I have told you, our experience with Silva goes back to 1976 with Gerry Seavey in Lexington, MA. I’d like to know where and how he is and what he’s doing now. If you cah, send my regards.

    Hi Laura
I haven’t had the pleasure of purchasing your home study guide or any of your products, I had the pleasure of downloading the Silva Ultra Mind meditation MP3 file, that you offer free of charge.
I am a resident from South Africa, but seem to be getting a pull to come over.
I have always been interested in the Human Development side of things and have done some courses here in South Africa, I also been involved with home study.
My definition for success is to provide happiness and satisfaction in this world through my knowledge, healing, love, care and freedom.
Your dad started Silva Mind and too he had a purpose, you seem to share his passion and want to make it a true success.
Seeing the results you obtained tells me that there is something that can be done to improve the results obtained.
I will be going through a few more development stages in my life and then I will be ready to come for a visit.
There might be a need for me to purchase your products so that I can have an idea what is presented to the students.
I am in South Africa so you need to take into consideration the freight costs as well.
    Thank you
    Nic
I am sure that whatever we come

I am one of the group whose practice has waned. I would say though that it is because iof lack of time resulting from a demanding job coupled with a young family that makes it very difficult to have a clear undisturbed half hour. The only times I can guarantee this is when I am working abroad and stating in a hotel on my own.
The Silva method is definitely highly effective and I still practice a cut down version that only takes a couple of minutes so I can keep things going, taking time for the full session when the opportunity arrives.

It would be great if I could buy the home study course and try it out but, attend the seminar in future less the cost of the home study course if I felt like I missed something. This would also serve as a refresher or re-energizer!

Since I found the book The Silva Mind Control Method years ago, as well as a few tapes I’ve received, I have not practiced as diligently as a I could have, but it has literally saved my life a couple of times when I have dealt with two deadly illnesses. Silva Mind Control is the reason I am alive today, so I AM working at it more now than in the past. For many years I have had ingrained beliefs and guidance into the path of Shamanism. So I am working mostly in that direction now.The similarities between the Silva Method and shamanic practices—like working in altered states of consciousness, as well as working with Counselors/ Spirit Helpers—can blend the two together seamlessly.

I have a question about the Silva method that has been bothering me for a long time, and has actually interfered with my process.
It is concerning whether to visualize the PAST on the right side or the left side.
In an older book of the Silva Method I have – the first one I studied, it puts things into the PAST on my LEFT side.
Also, in my Unity Church we have a song we sing where we reach to the LEFT for our PAST and reach to the RIGHT for our FUTURE.
Now, however, in the latest CD Silva study course I purchased a year ago, they tell me to visualize my PAST on the RIGHT!!
They also say that our subconscious mind puts the past on the right.
I feels very STRANGE to me since I’ve spent a long time now seeing my past on my left!! I want to follow the visualizations on the CD’s correctly and this upsets me because it doesn’t feel good.
Can you clarify IF the PAST HAS TO BE on one side or the other?
Like I said, it affects my practice when I do it now!!!
    Thank You!
    Ann

Just a few comments about some of the previous comments that stuck out to me in on this page about the survey that I did not take. How I missed that is because I put my Silva letter that day into a folder on my computer and forgot about it. (Just a honest comment about what I did about the survey) I like the way Al looked at the percentages. Guru’s comments about programming during the classes for continued follow up on use of the learnings would be great. Mary M. says that to check into our own dialouge to see where we are and if there is something holding us back from further use on a regular basis our practices. Bruno asks for it in Spanish. This is good because of all the languages, I believe the 2nd language in the world is Spanish. I am doing courses for speaking Spanish myself.
Thank you for this space and your time to read this.
