You know those moments, when you’ve had a beautiful dream & awake to the crisp stillness that comes with dawn’s first golden light… And the only sound that exists is your breathing and you feel like you’re the only one awake in all the world?

It’s truly magical and leaves you feeling invigorated, loved and at peace.

That is how I felt when I first watched this video.

I was browsing through some of my favorite personal growth sites when I stumbled upon it. It was the title that grabbed my attention at first because I think it’s really true.

What does it takes for us to stop and enjoy life?

The other day I was watching reruns of E.T, The Extra Terrestrial (I always cry when I watch this movie) and I came to the scene where the mother came home. She was so caught up in putting away her dry cleaning and groceries that she completely did not see E.T walking up and down her kitchen floor while her daughter tries valiantly to grab her attention and get her to “meet” E.T.

It was a cute scene and left me smiling but I can’t help but think how true it all really is… We’re so caught up in life’s little demands, routines and challenges that we get lost in it. We forget the bigger picture, our higher purpose and the true reason why we’re on this beautiful planet.

Which is why, the Silva Method teaches us to take a deep breath, and relax :)

I hope you’ll enjoy this video as much as I do. I’m going to watch it again, and I’ve already watched it twice! I just love the warm, tingly feeling it gives me and the goosebumps that I get from it.

Meanwhile, don’t forget to tell me what you think… And if you have tips on how to take a break from the demands of the world, share it with us in the comments box below!

Cheers,

Jill.

That is absolutely awesome! When life gives you lemons, make lemonade. When life gives you snow, make snowballs!

I love the video, although I don't really like snow. I like to walk on the beach at some point most days and notice each morning when I awaken that I am still here, in a body! I recently started to work part time. Even though working is very necessary for me, I am always aware that I could choose not to do it. Of course there would be consequences for that decision. Life is such a gift! Thanks again for sharing the awesome video. JoAnne Duncan

Our natural state of being is joy, it's just that life's demands get in the way of that. What I do to remember my joy is surround myself with animals–cats, parrots and dogs. You cannot take your dogs to the river for a run and not laugh at their antics. Animals are continuously joyful and they will use all of their energy to pull you into that joy along with them. They simply demand that you stop and pay attention. I can't recommend pets highly enough.

THE VIDEO WAS TRULY TOUCHING WITH THE FRIENDLINESS AND THE MUSIC WAS SO SOOTHING. IT SPEAKS OF SOME SPIRITUAL PARADISE NOT OF THIS EARTH AT THIS TIME. I LOVE EVERYONE. I DON'T TRY TO HELP IT OR PREVENT IT IN MY FEELINGS. THIS HAPPENED SEVERAL YEARS AGO WHEN I BECAME A CHRISTIAN AND I HAD NO POWER OVER IT THEN NOR DO I NOW. I'VE FOUND THAT ALL KINDS OF PEOPLE ACCEPT ME NOW AND SEE THAT I OFFER NO HARM TO THEM. I AM NO LONGER JEALOUS OR ENVIOUS OR WISH TO BE BETTER THAN ANYONE ELSE. THIS IS WHAT I FEEL WHEN I SEE THE VIDEO. I THINK YOU'VE CAPTURED A MOMENT OF GOD'S LOVE AND PUT IT ON FILM. THANKS.

Awesome! As a kid growing up in Australia, I only saw snow once. My life was about the beach and being barefoot everyday, or as much as possible. My Mother did all she could to get me to wear shoes…which of course i complied – we did have cold snaps, down to about 15degC (60F) during "winter". When I was 21 I was fortunate enough to work and live in Canada. Woohoa! Little did I know what was going on with my neural networks, but I know now that there was some serious re-wiring going on. A white Xmas used to always be a fairy tale to me, something of fiction. My Xmas's were always at least 30-35C(85-100F). Maybe you can imagine what it was like for me when I was confronted with the reality of 0degC and below in that first white Xmas of mine? I have been so grateful for that year ever since. I now love the snow and skiing and all that it has to offer. It is one of my life's joys. This video reminded me of that. Thank you.

I intended to send you a little bit of note in order to thank you so much once again for the nice tricks you’ve featured here. It was really seriously generous with people like you in giving without restraint exactly what most people could have supplied as an electronic book to earn some profit on their own, especially considering the fact that you might well have done it in case you considered necessary. The good tips in addition served like the great way to understand that most people have the identical zeal just as my own to know the truth a lot more when it comes to this issue. I am sure there are millions of more fun situations ahead for people who read through your blog post.
