My son's mother and I are not getting on as there seems to be a lack of positivity in the relationship. We are not together anymore and I've done everything I can to fix the relationship and make amends but I cannot see any improvement. The current situation doesn't look good and I've pretty much let go of any hope of it improving. I know it will take both of us to want it to work and she doesn't want this anymore. I've tried being positive and focusing my thoughts on a positive outcome but I can't see any change. Can anything be done? We both want to be happy, we have a son together (we love him very much) and we are searching for a loving relationship. Any ideas? Can anything be done to heal a relationship? I just did them, without question, and I knew that it would come true! It's how I wake up on mornings as well, I just say Im going to wake up at whatever time and then go to bed - I ALWAYS wake up (and wide awake at that) at 5 minutes before my alarm is about to go off. Anyway, from when I turned 17, I told myself that my first boyfriend (I had never dated anyone - because I was interested in nothing that i saw and I refused to settle for anything less) will be my last. I will meet him at university and he would be perfect for me. It would not be a blinding love, but a true, unconditional connection that we would both share. He would be perfect for me in every way. I never visualized his face, or his body... but I still used to see him though. I recognize now that what I saw was his energy, his love, his traits. I saw all of this for that year. I would think about him off and on and smile, thinking that I will be meeting him soon. It was never a case of "if you're out there mr perfect, please come to me" it was more " I know you, you know me, our souls have met.
