I hear this from many people, “I’ve been eating less but why am I not losing weight?” And my answer is always the same. It’s not just about what you eat. Trying to lose weight by changing your diet only can help but often it can be harmful or have no effect on your body.
The first question shouldn’t be “how can I lose weight?” but rather, “what is it that causes me to be overweight?”
In order to lose weight and keep it off in a healthy manner you need to have a deep understanding of what it truly takes to be healthy from a holistic point of view. You first need to take these things into account:
- your genetics – Study your family. While your genetics do not dictate how you will look, you will get a better understanding of what weaknesses you have when it comes to weight gain.
- any conditions you may have – Some people may have hypothyroidism or Cushing’s Syndrome.
- your triggers – what triggers your desire to eat and how can you control it
- your attitude – what is your attitude to your health and how is it affecting your actions
Once you understand your health factors and attitude, you can begin to reshape your behavior. Your behavioral modifications are what will bring you to a stable weight loss.
Food and weight can be positive elements in your life. They do not have to be a strain on your life. Your weight loss program should be pleasant as it is beneficial. If you feel something is wrong, your body is trying to tell you that something isn’t working. Remember, the body is not a machine. So be gentle to it.
This is the first track of a micro course focused on holistic weight loss without drugs and pain. Even if you feel your weight and health are perfect, I want you to listen to it. The knowledge you can pass on can help those you know who are suffering from their weight problems and in a world where obesity is on the climb, we all need to educate ourselves on our health and weight.
This track will teach you how to lose weight by understanding these elements:
- physiological factors
- behavioral influences
- psychological influences
- the 4 parts of your health: physical, mental, spiritual and emotional
- how to strategize your meditation to internalize and boost weight loss

I enjoyed this comprehensive description of the problem and solution. I cannot afford the program yet, but am studying the Silva Mind Control Method from the book of that title. I am following your free offerings as well. I will commit time and money to initaily buy your download program andf then will attend seminars inthe future. I believe in this work and wish that I could have been instructed in it in my youth.
Thx for spreading the word. As long as we’re alive it’s not to late!
Now I know the truth about weight loss.
I no longer punish myself by undergoing
rigid exercise and hunger.

Dear Laura,
I have one question?
Do you believe I can reduce my weight significantly while in recovery from Hashimotto’s Thyroiditis?
I have progressively been increasing my weight even if my antibodies have been reducing – thank God.
I would be extremly grateful if you could answer my question?
Hugs and prayers
Teresa
Dear Teresa,
Yes, I do believe that you can reduce your weight even if you have Hashimotto’s Thyroiditis. This condition is an autoimmune disease. It is important to use the Silva imagery techniques such as the Mirror of the Mind and imagine the present/problem situation in the blue framed mirror and study it in detail. Include the symptoms of the disease in the image. Then as you move the mirror to the left, erase the problem image, change the color of the frame to white and create an image of the desired outcome – weight and overall health. From that time forward focus on only the outcome – framed in white – until you reach measurable results at which point you can imagine your new present situation in the blue frame.
Make sure the image of the outcome is believable. In other words, if the desired weight loss is 50 lbs and you have a hard time imagining yourself 50 lbs lighter, then imaging yourself 5 lbs lighter and adjust your programming incrementally. Every time you reach your 5 lb goal imagine a new blue frame with the reduced weight and then a new white frame with the new goal of another 5 lbs lighter.
Be sure your nutritional and caloric intake supports healthy weight loss. Otherwise you are setting yourself up for failure. Also include exercise into your daily routine even if it’s a 10 – 15 minute walk daily. In addition, be conscious of the beliefs you hold that may be allowing the disease and added weight to exist. A belief is a statement you make to yourself about something you hold to be true and it governs your living experience. Write those statements on a piece of paper and modify them to state more of what you desire to manifest into your life.
For example: “Hashimotto’s Thyroiditis tends to run in my family and now I have it too.” Change that statement to “I am going to live a healthy life with a healthy functioning immune system.” Or “People with Hashimotto’s Thyroiditis gain weight.” Modify the statement to “I will achieve the ideal weight for maximum health.”
Check your ingredient for successful manifestation:
How much do you DESIRE to reduce the weight?
Do you BELIEVE that you can achieve the desired outcome?
Do you EXPECT the outcome to manifest?
Make sure what you VISUALIZE accurately depicts reality.
Make sure that what you IMAGINE does not limit the direction from where you get your outcome.
Make sure your ACTIONS congruently support what you desire to manifest.
Make adjustments to your programming, thoughts, beliefs and behaviors according to the FEEDBACK you receive.
I hope this helps,
Laura
