Recently, many of you have written in to ask me about weight loss and how you can use the Silva Method to help you achieve the right weight that you desire.
Before we go further, I must tell you that when referring to weight loss, we want to say “reduce” as opposed to “losing” weight. I’ve explain more in this audio that you can download right here:

Anyway I think I’ve told you before that I’ve actually shed 80 pounds using the Silva Method… So if I can do it, I’m confident that you can too!
And to help you achieve your goal, I’m going to share with you some tips on how you can use meditation to keep yourself on the right track to great health.
Most people look at meditation as a practice that’s beneficial for the mind and not the body. (Quite wrongly so, I would say). So, when people think of shedding those pounds, they almost always think of exercising more and changing their diet but remember that the first step to anything, including reducing weight, is within the mind.
3 Meditation Tips To Greater Health
- Meditation can help you stay on track Exercising and eating balanced meals will help you stay healthy and reduce weight but there are many who lose their determination at a mental level. While we may know the physical way to reduce weight, we don’t always mentally know how. Meditation, when done properly, can help anyone apply his or her knowledge to his or her actions.
- Meditation helps you stay determined If you want to achieve your new goal in reducing weight and be healthier, then you have to commit to a change in lifestyle. This means discipline and keeping to the exercise and health routines that best suits you. Meditation can help you stay determined in your new ‘healthier’ mentality.
- Meditation for balance During meditation, include some positive affirmations regarding health and weight reduction. Say to yourself, “I will lose weight. I will exercise more. I will eat less. I will eat healthier foods.” After meditation you should feel more balanced and calm, which will put you in the right mood to exercise and avoid overeating. Not only will you have a consistent, positive “I can!” attitude, you’ll also find that you will not have as many food cravings as you usually do.

Below is a copy of part of lesson 4, Creative Visualization. I am new to the Silva method so I want to understand why this contridicts your "I will…" statements. Which is correct?
"Your subconscious mind does not think in terms of past, present or future. If you say, I want to be an excellent golfer then your subconscious understands this as a statement of wanting. What you then get is the wanting or desire to be an excellent golfer but not the actual ability itself.
What you should say is “I am an excellent golfer”. Your subconscious understands this as a statement of your present reality. It therefore works to make this reality true."
